The assignment was to design a cookbook with a collection of recipes, whether those be entrees, desserts, or drinks. I decided to make my cookbook a dessert edition. The concept behind this cookbook is based on the secrets behind outer space. We only see one side of space and we don’t really know what secrets lie within. I wanted to highlight the science behind each of these galaxy themed recipes by sharing the secrets.

The objectives of the project were to explore typographic hierarchy and its nuances and to effectively work with typefaces, typographic glyphs and iconography in one consistent document. I have included close up’s of some of my favorite spreads.

The brochure is folded to create an accordion fold.

This project wasn’t about creating a logo and a look and simply applying it to things. This project was about communicating extensive information about a subject to a specific audience.

The subject that I decided to focus on was moral decline/ decay. Throughout my research I noticed that the same question kept came coming up. Is our country in a state of moral decline or have our morals just changed? Yes, our morals have changed slightly, but respect, hard-work, honesty, humility and many more moral values should still be important in today’s society.

I decided to create a company that focuses on raising the morals of today’s youth. More specifically the ages of 13-18. This company is called Inner Compass and they are putting on a 24 hour morality challenge that challenges teens to complete moral challenges to gain points and win prizes.

The assignment was to design an infographic poster for our client. My client was a die hard Batman fan and his favorite Batmobile was the 1989 version. The infographic compares my client’s favorite batmobile with the 1966 Batmobile.
